Denis Ioffe

Denis has a Juris Doctorate in Law from the University of Western Ontario.

Denis is a partner at Nanua & Ioffe Lawyers. He holds a Juris Doctor in Law from the University of Western Ontario. He is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association. Denis is able to provide legal services in not only English, but also in Hebrew and Russian.
Denis’ practice focuses primarily in personal injury litigation, which includes motor vehicle accidents, occupiers’ liability matters and disability claims. He has represented clients at the Superior Court of Justice, Financial Services Commission of Ontario, Small Claims Court and various tribunals. Denis also practices general litigation and immigration law.
Denis is a strong and passionate advocate who is committed to assisting his clients. Prior to founding the firm with Gary Nanua, Denis was an associate at a personal injury law firm where he gained the experience and knowledge to achieve successful results for his clients.

Kateryna Vlada

Kateryna is an associate with Nanua & Ioffe Lawyers and leads the Accident Benefits department and is well versed with Tort matters as well.

Kateryna is an associate with Nanua & Ioffe Lawyers and leads the Accident Benefits department. She is committed to assisting personal injury victims and their families achieve the best possible outcomes. Her practice focuses primarily on personal injury law, including accident benefits and dispute resolutions. She has successfully negotiated great settlements on behalf of her clients.

Kateryna Vlada received her Juris Doctorate law degree from the Bangor University in the United Kingdom in 2014. She is in the process of being admitted to the Law Society of Upper Canada as a lawyer.

Kateryna is currently a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada as a Paralegal in good standing and a Commissioner of Oaths and Affidavits.

Ilia Estrah

Ilia graduated from York University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts. He received his LL.B with academic distinction in 2017 from the University of London in the United Kingdom. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2020.

During law school, Ilia was elected to represent his cohort with the broader union body, and was involved in various moot and negotiation competitions which have honed his advocacy skills.
Ilia enjoys a focused practice in motor vehicle accident litigation, occupiers’ liability, and accident benefits claims. He has represented clients before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Small Claims Court, and the Licence Appeal Tribunal.
Outside of work, Ilia is a soccer enthusiast, avid reader, and devoted chess player. He also enjoys spending time with his growing family when not practicing law.

Gurdeep S. Nanua

Gurdeep S. Nanua is a partner at Nanua & Ioffe Lawyers with a wide range of litigation experience before all courts and tribunals.

Gurdeep (Gary) S. Nanua is a partner at Nanua & Ioffe Lawyers with a wide range of litigation experience before all courts and tribunals. The focus of his practice is personal injury litigation with an emphasis on accident benefits, tort and negligence cases. Gary also practices in the areas of family law, wills, employment law and general litigation.

Gary is an Honours B.A. graduate of the University of Toronto. Gary has a Law Degree and a Masters in Law. Along with finishing in the top of his class in both his Law Degree and Masters, he was actively involved in all community legal programs.

Gary has been providing litigation services for injured persons and his clientele for almost a decade. He has represented clients at trials, pre-trial conferences and mediations. Gary approaches all aspects of his practice with exceptional interpersonal skills. He strives to secure the best results for his clients while being attentive to the time and emotional considerations of his clients. Gary can communicate with his clients in not only English, but also Punjabi, Hindi & Urdu.

Gary is a founding partner of Nanua & Ioffe Lawyer P.C., an articling principal and head of the litigation department for the firm.

Marc Golding

Marc joined Nanua & Ioffe Lawyers in 2018. He received his P1 License in 2011 and is a member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario.

Marc Golding joined Nanua Ioffe Lawyers in 2018. Marc received his P1 License in 2011 and is a member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario. Prior to his tenure with NI Lawyers, Marc gained valuable experience working for another leading personal injury law firm. He has advocated on behalf of car accident victims for nearly 15 years, applying his extensive knowledge of the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule. Marc has secured favourable outcomes while attending at mediations and pre-arbitration hearings under the auspices of the Financial Services Commission of Ontario, and has similarly has gone on to win decisions at hearings under the Licence Appeal Tribunal.

Michele Susan Balz

A graduated with an Honours B.F.A. from Queen’s University, an Honours M.F.A. from Concordia University, an LL.B from the Université de Montréal in civil law, and an LL.B cum laude from the University of Ottawa in common law.

Michele Susan Balz comes to us with a broad range and depth of experience. She graduated with an Honours B.F.A. from Queen’s University, an Honours M.F.A. from Concordia University, an LL.B from the Université de Montréal in civil law, and an LL.B cum laude from the University of Ottawa in common law. She is a member in good standing of both the Barreau du Québec and the Law Society of Upper Canada. She is able to provide legal services in both English and French. After finishing law school at the Université de Montréal, Susan worked in information technologies and corporate law, in Europe and in New York. She was a Director at Deloitte & Touche working both the Brussels and New York desk of their Information Economies Department, directing a team of 30 lawyers and representing clients such as international banks and the Department of Justice of the European Union. She is the co-author of two books and numerous articles.

Susan has developed a litigation practice that focuses on assisting individuals instead of corporate clients. Her practice focuses on personal injury litigation and family law on helping injured people and those going through divorce. She brings her background in corporate law to bear when dealing with institutional clients such as insurance companies, and she is also sensitive to the vulnerability of her clients at these difficult times in their lives. She is a strong advocate and an experienced trial lawyer, willing to go the distance for her clients.

Daniella Cohen

Daniella joined NI Lawyers after graduating with Honours from the Paralegal program at Seneca College in 2019.

Daniella joined Nanua & Ioffe Lawyers after graduating with Honours from the Paralegal program at Seneca College in 2019. Shortly after graduation, she earned her ADR Certificate from Seneca College and P1 Paralegal Licence from the Law Society of Ontario.

Daniella’s primary area of practice is in advocating for victims of motor vehicle accidents, handling accident benefits claims and before the Licence Appeal Tribunal.

In addition to English, Daniella is fluent in Russian and Hebrew.

Bianca Marinescu

Bianca has been a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada since 2017 as a Licensed Paralegal, having received her P1 License.

Bianca Marinescu joined Nanua Ioffe in 2020. Prior to this she worked at other leading personal injury firms. Bianca has been a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada since 2017 as a Licensed Paralegal, having received her P1 License. Bianca recently received her LL.B. (Hons) from Brunel University, London UK. She is currently taking the necessary steps to complete her journey of being called to the Ontario Bar.

With many years of experience within the Personal Injury Field, Bianca has devoted her career to helping victims of motor vehicle accidents.She is dedicated to providing the necessary support to her clients’ and making sure that they receive just compensation.
